I used to play this game for hours every week on my bus ride to and from school. Making a diving catch was so satisfying.

Love this one, even using the Golden Gun at the final. It takes one or two Golden Flames destroying the shield barrier.

This version intrigues me. Like I understand making tweaks in later or international versions of games to make it better since you have more time with it, but this just feels unfinished. And usually a famicom version will contain the better music and sound effects but holy crap…did anyone at Nintendo actually play this and say, “yep, sounds good?” The text and the bosses “roaring,” are just grating. And speaking of bosses, who wrote the boss theme? It’s literally 6 notes on repeat. I mean, the US version technically is too but at least they changed the octave every other measure. Also, I love this game!
